We’re Going on a Picnic & We’re Bringing WINE!

June 18th is Picnic Day, and we couldn’t think of a better way to get out and enjoy the wonderful summer weather and a glass of wine than on a picnic. Seven Springs Winery is the best place to plan your next picnic because we’re nestled quietly in the Ozark hills with beauty and peace surrounding us. Here are a few wonderful ways to enjoy our beautiful Lake of the Ozarks winery AND a picnic this weekend!

Delicious Food

Seven Springs Winery has a wonderful selection of food to tempt the palate! Many of our delicious choices are easily packed into a picnic basket and enjoyed out in nature as well. Here are a few selections we think are the best:

Spinach & Artichoke Dip
Artichokes and spinach with garlic, baked in a creamy white cheese sauce, served with herbed crostini.

Meat & Cheese Platter
Summer sausages and aged cheddar with assorted crackers and crostini.

German Pretzel Bread
Bavarian style pretzel bread sprinkled with sea salt and served with spicy mustard.

Beef Bourguignon Wrap
Tender roast beef with onions and mushrooms sautéed in Norton wine and rolled into a whole wheat tortilla with Boursin cheese.

Cranberry & Curried Chicken Salad
Unique Turkish-style chicken salad with dried cranberries, toasted almond, onion, mild yellow curry and mixed field greens rolled into a whole wheat tortilla.

Mediterranean Turkey
Smoked turkey, artichoke hearts, roasted red pepper, field greens, red onions, and olive tapenade rolled into a whole wheat tortilla.

Fantastic Wine

It’s no surprise that we have the best wine at the Lake of the Ozarks, and several varieties that are even Missouri wines! All of these selections below are also great pairings for the choices above:

Seven’s Red Heaven
Beautiful deep plum color with refreshing, Crisp fruit flavors & a distinct sweet finish.

Vignoles
Mid straw color with olive green tone. Flavorful bodied, peach, melon and citrus.

Spring Fling
Light straw color with a lime green rim. Light bodied with fruity, citrus & lychee.

Traminette
Light straw with green hues. Light bodied, with a fruity yet off dry finish.

Norton
An opaque deep plum color, tobacco, oak. Full bodied, spicy smooth persistent finish.

A Good View

Finally, a good picnic outing needs a great view! At Seven Springs Winery, we have the BEST views. Whether you’re “picnicking” on the patio looking at our spectacular view, or you’re enjoying a picnic on our hiking trail. You’ll love our property.

You can enjoy 2.4 miles of scenic walking trails that will take you by all seven springs, the original Linn Creek one-room school house foundation, and a cave! PLUS, you can grab a basket with a blanket, 2 stemless wine glasses and a bottle of your favorite Seven Springs wine for only $49.00.

We’re Going On A Picnic - What Will You Bring?

It’s no surprise that we’re bringing wine - but what do you like taking on a picnic? It doesn’t get much better than wine, so we don’t blame you if you bring wine too ;). Seven Springs Winery is really the best place at the Lake to enjoy the great outdoors, incredible food, and WINE. Come out this weekend and celebrate Picnic Day! Don’t worry, if you miss it - July is Picnic Month, so you have plenty of time to celebrate!
