We had a great year filled with exciting events at the Lake of the Ozarks hosted at our very own Seven Springs Winery. From cool nights with the smooth tunes or lots of laughs at our comedy night, we've had a ball this year! Here are just a few of the ways we enjoyed 2016.

Fun Events

You can always count on a good time at Seven Springs Winery. This year we had some amazing events like special dinners, getaways, and even a wine run! We celebrated our eighth year of having the best winery at the Lake of the Ozarks with an anniversary party and enjoyed a fun Beer Pairing Dinner to support a great cause. Don't forget our Murder Mystery Dinner and Comedy's Best Kept Secret! Those events were a great success and we wonder if 2017 will bring them back around? Which events did you make it to this year? We would love to hear your fond memories.

Great Music

This year we featured many amazing musicians, some new and some were old favorites! Sax on the Beach is always a fan favorite, and we were so glad to have them grace our stage once again this summer. We also featured Grayson Wood at a fun Boot Stomping Revival! Everyone loved him so much we've had him back many times throughout the fall.

Wonderful Weddings

One of our favorite events to host here at the winery are Lake of the Ozarks weddings. From beautiful and quaint to fun and rustic with everything in between - we love to see the creativity. Plus, nothing is more romantic than seeing to lovebirds say I Do amongst the grapevines.

Fun Photos From Our Fans

We LOVE to see our winery through your lens! Fun photos, funny photos, and even really cool shots are all welcome! Feel free to post your own shots and tag us in them - sometimes we even feature them ;).

Our Renovation!

Finally, one of the coolest things that happened this year is the completion of our landscaping project! We now have beautiful patios and "pods," as well as breathtaking water features. The winery has always been a beautiful place to kick back and enjoy a glass of your favorite Missouri wine, and now it's even better!

Happy New Year From Seven Springs Winery!

From our family to yours - Happy New Year. We hope that 2016 has been filled with fun memories and exciting stories to be shared over a glass of wine. We also hope that you have a fun expectancy for 2017, and plan to spend plenty of time at the best winery around!

Successfully Planning Your Wedding Registry

As any newly engaged couple is quickly learning, there is a lot involved in planning your upcoming wedding day. From choosing the right wedding venue at the Lake of the Ozarks to finding a wedding dress and gathering decorations. Of course, one time-consuming project can be the wedding registry, but it doesn't have to be! Here are a few things to keep in mind as you plan your registry and decide what you really need.

What Type of Registry?

For many modern couples, they have already established their home by the time they meet and marry. Because of this, planning out the registry can seem challenging because you don't really know what you should ask for. Thankfully, for those couples, there are ways to get creative. You can start a honeymoon registry, where instead of buying gifts, your guests can donate to your honeymoon. Other couples even start a fund for their first home! Your unique needs as a couple can determine the route you should take. If you do need to put a registry together, we're going to outline a few items through you home that you won't want to leave out.

For Your Registry

Be Techy

Now is a great time to think about the technology you've been wanting to get, but have been putting off. Sometimes guests will even go in together to get you bigger items.

Every home needs a little TLC, and decorations for your home are a great way to do this. If you get photo frames, you can use them for your wedding photos, too!

Wall Art
Candle Holders

Scrub a Dub Dub

Whether you have one bathroom or two, you'll need some items to keep it complete.

Christmas Sangria

2 750 ml bottles your favorite white wine, our Vignoles
1 pomegranate
2 oranges, sliced thin
6 ounces cranberries, about 1 1/2 cups

In a large pitcher, combine the white wine, pomegranate arils, orange slices, cranberries and pomegranate juice.

Stir in the ginger ale and serve.

Gingerbread White Wine Cocktail

Recipe Credit: House Vegan

1 750ml bottle of Chardonel
1/4 cup vanilla coffee syrup
12 ounces ginger ale
3 2 inch cinnamon sticks
1/8 teaspoon ground cinnamon
pinch nutmeg

1. Pour all of the ingredients into a large pitcher, and stir them to combine. Allow the drink to chill in the fridge for at least one hour.
2. Serve chilled.

Red Wine Hot Chocolate

Recipe Credit: Wholefully

⅔ cup semisweet chocolate chips
⅔ cup of Seven Spring's Syrah
½ cup milk
½ cup half and half
2 tablespoons sugar, optional (see notes)
Pinch of salt
½ teaspoon vanilla extract

Combine the chocolate chips, wine, milk, half, and half and sugar (if using), in a small saucepan over medium-low heat. Heat, stirring constantly until chocolate chips are melted and the mixture is hot.
Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla and salt. Pour into mugs and serve

If you'll need to use the sugar or not will depend on the sweetness of your wine. If you're using a very dry wine, you'll want to add in the sugar. It's best to take a sip without the sugar, and then add it in if need be. For a sweeter, fruitier vibe, swap out the dry wine for a fruit wine—make sure you omit the sugar. Zest on a little bit of orange or clementine peel just before serving to really take this drink over the top!

There's No Party Like a Wine Party!

We all know the best way to get the party started is with a glass of your favorite Lake of the Ozarks wine. Whether you try a new recipe or enjoy the wine in its original state, we're sure you're going to like it. Come out to the best winery at the Lake of the Ozarks and grab a few bottles of your favorite wine to enjoy during the holiday season!

How to Choose Seasonal Wedding Flowers

If there is one thing that can bring your whole wedding together, it's the flowers and floral arrangments. There's something beautiful about the fresh blooms that fill in empty spaces and create a whimsical vision for your wedding. Of course, if you've ever looked at the price tag on some of these "whimsical visions" they can seem pretty scary. One of the ways you can save money on your floral arrangments is by buying in season. Check out these beautiful blooms, and see which would match well with your wedding!

Large, bushy flower are beautiful additions to your bridal bouquet with intense colors and the bold size. A few stems of these flowers will be perfect. They are a scentless shrub and come in a variety of colors like white, green, pink, burgundy, purple and blue.

This flower is not shy or obscure - it's showy, lush and bold, creating a perfect addition to your elaborate affair. Amidst the bold and bright personality, this flower is known for it's meaning of bashfulness. You can get it in colors like white, cream, peach, pink, and burgundy.

The fresh and fruity scent of freesia is what makes this flower so popular. Just a few blossoms are filled with fragrance, and the beautiful blooms are just as beautiful as they are fragrant.

Star of Bethlehem
This flower is most popular for it's ability to open in the morning and close in the evening, which you'll want to keep in mind for your wedding. You can add it to your bouquet or let it fill your centerpieces.

Meaning: Purity.

The dark green, waxy leaves make a perfect contrast to the pure white of the petals. The gardenia is an exquisite flower and boasts of a sultry and heavy scent, some even call it intoxicating.

Meaning: Transport of joy, ecstasy, I love you in secret, purity, peace.

Are you looking for a flower with a flair for the dramatic? This impressive bloom features two to five large blossoms that are sure to catch the eye. You can get them in white, pale yellow, pale green, pink, salmon, and red colors. They are also rare and expensive, but only a few blooms can add quite a lot of drama.

Meaning: Splendid beauty and pride.

Stephanotis means "marital happiness," making it an obvious choice for your wedding. The beautiful white flowers are perfect for bouquets or boutonnieres, they just need to be wired or placed onto a special holder.

Meaning: "Will you accompany me?"
